Simone Mancini, Co-Founder and CEO of Scalapay, was born in Tuscany in 1987 and moved to Australia with his family in his early years. In Darwin, he attended school until graduating in Business & Economics at Charles Darwin University. An expert in online retailing since his university years, he expressed his entrepreneurial spirit by founding two digital market places and a money transfer service together with his friend and co-founder of Scalapay, Johnny Mitrevski. His professional experiences also include the role of Head of New Products Division at Australian FinTech Prospa. In 2019, he returned to Italy and, from Milan, launched Scalapay, a FinTech BNPL service that in just a few years has become one of the most used payment methods in Southern Europe and the number one payment solution in the Trustpilot ranking in terms of customer satisfaction, which reached 3.5 million in 2023. Under Mancini's leadership, Scalapay achieved its Unicorn status in 2022 and to date has raised over $727 million in funding.
