Gianluca Dettori is the founder and president of Primo Ventures SGR (www.primo.vc), a technology venture capital company with the early stage technology fund Barcamper Ventures and the space early stage fund Primo Space.
Born in 1967, he has been an Internet expert since 1995 and has a degree in Economics from the University of Turin. In 1999 he co-founded Vitaminic, the platform for the distribution of digital music, bringing it to the stock exchange, and since 2004 he has supported as angel investor over 20 technology companies.
In 2007 he founded dpixel srl, an advisory and consultancy company in the field of innovation.
He founded and was the first president of the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) in Italy, co-founder of First Generation Network, Techgarage Association and Fullbright mentor.
He writes about technology, Internet and Venture Capital for Wired, Nova de "Il Sole 24 Ore" and StartupItalia, is a Fellow of the Kauffman Society (www.kfp.org) and of the BMW Stiftung Foundation and advisor for the European Commission, as part of the project Future Internet Accelerators and in various policy design activities.
